Zevara’s POV

Fear coursed through me and my lips trembled as I said, “Your son.”

I knew I shouldn’t have spoken. I knew I shouldn’t have mentioned Talon… but when he threatened to whip my cunt, I didn’t realize when the words spilled out. I was so scared of the way his eyes blazed, and his grip around my arms as he dragged towards the pillar… then I had no choice than to say it.

The silence in the room was almost deafening. Alpha Magnus' gaze narrowed in a mix of shock and disbelief. He stared at me like he couldn’t understand what I meant at all… like I had suddenly grown two heads.

“What did you say?” His voice was a low rumble but the danger and disbelief in it was unmistakable. “Did you just say, my son?” The word tasted bitter on his lips. “Did I hear you right?”

I didn’t respond; I couldn’t. Not when he looked so deadly and monstrous.

Alpha Magnus hand reached down, he wrapped his hand around my throat and uses it to lift me up.
