Chapter 11

Crystina’s POV 

Through the night, I didn’t sleep a wink. My eyes were fixated on the door as I covered myself with my blanket out of fear that Luka will break the door and walk in to finish what he started earlier and every time I heard a movement outside my door, my ear twitched and I would sit straight, waiting for the dreaded moment to pass. 

This went on through the night till daybreak. I was angry, no, I was mad at Luka and mad at myself for letting him kiss me that way the other night. If I hadn’t allowed him, he wouldn’t have had the audacity to touch me like that last night. 

A knock resounded on my door, dragging me out of my train of thoughts. Mary walked in even before I could tell her to. 

“Good morning, Ms. Mary,” I greeted. She took a glance at me, shook her head, and smacked her lips. 

“Did you not sleep at all last night?” She asked, taking in the eye bag and the dark circles under my eyes.
