Chapter 29

Paige’s POV

"I’ll miss you, Crystina,"

I hugged my best friend tightly as they got ready to leave. We’ve been hugging for a while since they started packing their things to the car. The warriors who had accompanied them were ready and so was Luka but I wasn’t ready to let her go yet. It was sure that I was going to miss her.

I’ll be living a different life right now. It would be hard but I have to get used to it. I have to learn new things and unlearn some of the things that I’ve learned. I still can’t give two reasons about why I decided to stay but I can give one reason about why I can’t leave. I believe this is why I’m meant to be.

"I’ll miss you too, Paige," She moved her mouth to my ear and whispered, "If it ever gets unbearable, call me, I’ll be here to pick you up,"

I nodded. "I know. You should take care of yourself and my god baby too, alright? Failure to do that would warrant punishment from me,"<
