Chapter 84

Crystina's POV

As soon as those words left the doctor's mouth, a loud, tingling repeated ringing resounded in my ears. It felt as if I wasn't in the room anymore. I could feel my lips quivering and I suddenly felt cold. My heart was beating so rapidly against my chest and I found the room spinning.

"Canim,"

The voice sounded so far away. I wanted to respond but I didn't know which direction I was supposed to face.

"CANIM!"

I blinked continuously as I was pulled into reality by Luka's voice. He was staring at me with a deep frown on his face. He looked so worried that I found it alarming.

"Are you okay?"

I nodded. I sniffled and that was when it occurred to me that I was crying already. It seems everything in the entire universe was against me at the moment.
