Chapter 135. Her Dolls
“Whoa,” Caspian mouthed in awe as he paced slowly through the entrance of the cave. Margaret, leaving no time to spare, marched over to her desk and pulled together the papers and scrolls that littered it.
“What are all these glowing liquids?” Caspian asked, leaning toward the oddly shaped bottles that sat on one of the three work tables in the room.
“Oh, those are ingredients for medicines I use to treat various illnesses. Most of the brightly colored ones are dangerous chemicals I haven't yet perfected and will kill a person if consumed,” Margaret replied. She raised her head, then turned to face Caspian. “So, don’t touch them,” she continued, throwing him a disapproving look.
Caspian, who was about to pick up a bottle containing a glowing pink liquid, pulled his right hand away and smiled awkwardly at Margaret. “Well, I wasn’t going to consume it,” he defended, stepping away from the table.
