Chapter 163. Lady Meredith's Visit

~Hidden Path, Dune's rebel camp~

Arthur sat in his tent with Elena, both of them sipping herbal tea and eating a meal that Elena prepared herself. The intoxicating scent of the meat, stew, and freshly baked bread thickened the air in the tent, making it almost unbreathable… or irresistibly breathable. The table’s face was invisible beneath the spread of varieties of meals Elena spent hours preparing.

Elena had her large pet owl standing by her feet, pecking at a piece of meat and bone thrown to it by her.
