Chapter 49. First Consequence
Moriah and Sylvia clashed swords repeatedly, the sound of each clink echoing loudly across the camp. Their swords sparked beautifully under the moonlight, and every time their sword clashed, a large wave was sent out, extinguishing the fire around them. They fought at high speeds, avoiding each other's attacks and delivering their own like the masters they were at combat. But after a few minutes of fighting, it was clear who had the upper hand in the battle.
“What in the goddess’s name! How can a human being be this strong?” Sylvia thought to herself, her brows furrowing in annoyance. She had tried multiple times to lay a good attack on Moriah but failed every time.
“The power behind every attack, the speed she uses to avoid my swings—it’s all inhuman,” Sylvia continued in her head. In her eyes, Moriah was like a beast—a mama bear protecting her cubs relentlessly. Her power and speed were unrivaled, and her determination to win, unfazed.
