Chapter 53. Haunters
Multiple Valtorian royal carriages rode rapidly through the desert, raising sand and dust along their path. A small group of soldiers on horses followed behind and beside the carriages to protect them from a possible ambush. They wore black armor that concealed their entire bodies, including their faces. The design of their armor was distinct from standard Valtorian armor, having beautiful golden embossments in patterns that seemed almost otherworldly.
Lead by Prince Desmond, these soldiers were a band of knights called Haunters, and were only called upon when there was a real crises at hand.
“My brothers must be very happy now that father has given them a chance to steal what is rightfully mine, but I will not falter, I shall make sure I become the next king of Valtoria by all means necessary,” Prince Desmond declared, his eyes narrowing, his gaze fixed ahead, fueled by anger.
