Chapter 50. The Damsel
~One year ago~
This is a story about a Damsel who committed a sin and suffered dire consequences—consequences that she would endure for the rest of her days until she was saved by her knight in shining armor.
Moriah had slaughtered all of Thomas’s soldiers with her dagger, painting the entire camp with their blood and decorating it with their bodies. She let out slow breaths and walked as if she were intoxicated by alcohol. It wasn’t alcohol that blurred her thoughts, though. It was an emotion she couldn’t control—rage.
"Please... please don’t kill me. I beg of you; I promise not to leave the Valtorian army,” Thomas begged with tears in his eyes as he watched Moriah walk toward him. Bright red smoke still rose from her body, and her eyes still glowed blood red.
“Please! PLEASE!” Thomas yelled again, and Moriah swung her blade at his throat, removing his head with only a swing. Thomas’s blood spewed all over the place, and his body dropped to the ground.
