Chapter 67. Eastern City
“Huh?” I breathed softly as my eyes swung open, their dark blue color turning a deep purple under the orange hue of the candlelight. I stared at the chandelier hanging from the white ceiling above me for a moment, then sat up.
The room I was in was dimly lit with candles on a large chandelier hanging over the bed, and a few rays of light that seeped through a gap between the two wooden doors of a window to my right. The shutters had beautiful, flower patterns carved onto their surfaces, swirling and flowing around like calm water waves.
A wooden door stood a short distance to the right of the window. It had the same patterns and a doorknob with a small, white crystal attached. The floor was covered in a mixture of black and white polished marble, and a beautifully carved wardrobe stood in front of the bed I was on.
After examining the features of the room I was in, I came to a conclusion.
“This room is fancy,” I said softly with a soft smile.
