Chapter 96. Potato Art
Rhys stared down at a blank sheet of paper with a pencil in her left hand, lost in deep thought. She hit the table repeatedly with the end of the pencil, creating a ticking sound that echoed in the living room as her right hand moved the paper about, changing its orientation from vertical to horizontal each time her head leaned to the side.
“Come on, Rhys, I’ve been waiting ten whole minutes, and you still haven’t done anything,” Mabel complained, resting her forehead on the table as she let out a long groan.
“I’m sorry, it's just been a really long time since I made a sketch. I can’t seem to get what the problem is right now. An art block maybe?” Rhys replied, her face reading disappointment as she raised her head to face Mabel.
“Rhys, just focus; I know you can do it. It doesn’t matter if it's been a long time since you drew something; I’m sure that talent is still in there somewhere,” Mabel responded in a comforting tone, staring into Rhys’s eyes. Rhys glanced
