Chapter 99. Lunar Knight
“Argh,” the priestess groaned as she sat up. She placed her right palm on her head, feeling a slight headache brew up. She slowly opened her eyes, and as her vision cleared, she found Steven lying on the ground, bleeding heavily from his shoulder. Steven had gone unconscious and had lost a large amount of blood. She turned to the wall the lance hung from and placed her right palm over her lips, gasping in shock as her eyes lit up in horror.
“Steven!” The priestess exclaimed, rushing to his side.
“Oh, no… not again,” she let out worriedly, her eyes sparkling with tears as she stared at Steven’s face. She reached for his chest, but paused as she remembered the one rule she had to follow as a priestess—she wasn’t allowed to touch him.
“Someone, help me!” She yelled, turning to the soldiers who were still engaged in a heated battle against the Valtorians who had attacked. No one responded to her calls, and she turned back to Steven.
