Chapter 25. Breaking News

“Where are we going?” Keira asked nonchalantly.

“Home,” said Ben flatly.

“Okay, drive me to my apartment,” she said bluntly.

“No, we’re going back to my penthouse,” he told her undeniably.

“Excuse me? We’re not married yet! We don’t have to live together! I want to go back to my apartment!”

Ben pulled the car over, “Look, I don’t have time to commute to pick you up! The wedding is only weeks away! You think it’s easy to arrange a sudden wedding?!” he said with an annoyed face.

“I never asked you to pick me up! I can take a taxi or a subway; why be bothered...” she said indifferently.

Ben took a deep breath and then exhaled slowly, trying to control himself so he wouldn’t explode. “Can’t we talk like two adults? Listen to me carefully. I have paid off all your debts, and after the contract ends, you will get your payment. Can’t you just be a little professional?!” he snapped, his jaw clenched.
