Chapter 43. Fix Things Together

“Are you going to run away from me? Again?” said Luke Bracey, his face turning gloomy in an instant.

Keira cleared her throat, “Luke, I’m engaged! Not that I don’t want to talk with you, it’s just, you know...” she trailed off, at a loss for words.

“Everybody in New York knows that you two are fake! I mean, look at you! You’re here while your loving fiancé is taking care of his ex? Does that even make sense?” rumbled Luke breathlessly.

Keira’s jaw hardened, “She was hit by our car! That’s why he’s taking care of her!” she yelled, causing everyone to turn to her.

“Really? If I were him, I would tell my bodyguard to take care of my ex because I’d be too scared to lose you,” he said seriously. His hand reached for Keira’s and gripped it tightly. “I don’t know whatever happened between you two, but this is really not a solution, Kei. You couldn’t just be with someone who doesn’t love you back! I know you guys have an agreement; otherwise, why would you two end
