Chapter 45. Mad Woman, Bad Woman

“What are you doing here?” asked Ben stiffly, while next to him, Keira struggled to avoid her parents’ gazes. In front of them, Julia smiled weakly in her wheelchair.

“Just wanted to visit you guys. Isn’t that what a friend usually does?” she answered lightly, as if they were close friends.

“Um, Julia, it’s not that we meant to be rude, but we’re in the middle of a family discussion. You’d better come back another time,” said Keira with a fake smile.
