Chapter 59. Busted
On the way to the pavilion, her cell phone rang, a call from Dama Paterson.
“Dr. Paterson!” she greeted cheerfully.
“I’ve done what you asked. Send me the rest of the payment,” she said casually, as if she was doing everything just for the money and not as a form of obligation as a psychiatrist who had worked with Benjamin Mackey when he was a kid.
“Alright, I’ll send the money to you right away.”
“Good!”
“Look, I know you may not care about your ex-patient, but I thank you for what you did to help him clear his name,” said Keira sincerely.
“It doesn’t matter. Apart from needing money for my grandchildren who will live on, I also need good deeds to get into heaven after I die,” said Dana Paterson with a chuckle. Shortly after, the call was cut off.
