Chapter 66. Are You Falling in Love?

Keira almost choked on the mashed potato in her mouth, “What did you say?” she asked haltingly, her palms turning cold instantly. That was when she knew Ben would confront her, ask her about her true feelings, and corner her for stupidly falling in love with him.

“Keira,” he looked up, staring intensely into her eyes.

“What? Don’t look at me with that look. You’re scaring me,” she said, scratching her head. She was afraid that he would confront her.

“I will ask this for the first and last time forever, and I want you to answer honestly,” said Ben, bent closer to her.

She held her breath and shrugged curtly, “Okay, whatever!” she tried to sound unbothered.

Ben nodded, “Are you, by any chance, falling in love with me?”

Her instinct was never wrong!

Her face turned red. It felt like she wanted the earth to swallow her right then and there. She could have avoided it, but deep down inside her heart, she wanted Ben to know what she felt.
