“Ben, I can understand that you’re worried about my feelings which may seem unnatural to you, but trust me, my feelings won’t interfere with our professional relationship, you know what? I’ll get rid of it right away! I promise! Okay? Just please, don’t think about it!” Those words suddenly came out of Keira’s mouth because she was afraid that Ben was overthinking her confession.
“Will it be that easy?” asked Ben stiffly.
“Excuse me?” asked Keira, frowning.
“To get rid of that feeling? Will it be that easy?” he asked, looking up sharply at her.
Their gazes locked. Keira shrugged her shoulders, “I don’t know, I’ve never felt this way before; I mean, you were the first guy I had sex with. Our relationship is so different from any relationship I’ve ever had with anyone in my life; well, it might be hard, but I’ll try! I mean, with your annoying attitude, it should be easier, right?” she said half-jokingly, but Ben didn’t smile at all, let alone laugh.
