Chapter 53. A Short Stroll

Khushi's POV

We headed to the Lake Gardens after finishing our lunch. It seemed to be the best plan for the next destination.

After staying under the direct sun, my body felt so much more refreshed under the blanket of leaves over our heads as we walked by the lake, looking for an empty seat to rest.

"There's one." I felt Darsh's hand take hold of mine when he pointed to an empty bench. Before someone else claimed it, he dragged me to the seat. I felt like I was out with a kid who just got a break from his busy school.

As we took our seats, he mumbled, "It's beautiful."

"I know right," I replied, admiring the lake and its other fringe, covered with trees. Most of them were flamboyant trees. The orange hue blended well with the green, giving spectators a pleasant glimpse. Some people were practising rowing in the lake.
