Chapter 55. Save Me

Khushi's POV

After Darsh left, it was almost 3–4 days, and he never called or texted me. Even if I tried calling him, Darsh ignored my calls and never called me back.

At that point, I was certain Darsh was avoiding me on purpose. Hence, I stopped calling him because I felt annoyed. I asked him to go back, mostly because I didn't want him to abandon his responsibilities because of me, but he was acting absurd at that point.

After a few more days, Mandira's wedding day finally arrived. We were having fun at her house during a Sangeet party, singing and dancing with our family and friends.

Suddenly, Mandira's expression darkened as she received a call. She sprang to her feet and dashed to her room. I decided to follow her since I had a bad feeling.

As I entered Mandira's bedroom, I saw her sobbing while hunching over on her knees. I hurried inside as soon as I could.

"What's wrong?"

"He called again," Mandira said.

"Your ex?"
