Chapter 54. I Miss You

Khushi's POV

"Khushi, please don't leave me." He eventually uttered it while the tears still streamed down his face.

"What? Why would I leave you?" I was taken aback by his abrupt request.

"You just said you would leave me if I were a bad husband to you," Darsh stated in between his sobs, causing me to gasp.

He was undoubtedly upset about something, but I didn't anticipate him crying at a simple sentence I said.

I took a step closer to him and wiped the corner of his eyes with my thumbs. Darsh suddenly flung up his arms and embraced me, resting his forehead on my shoulder. His entire body was subtly trembling.

It took me a few seconds to fully comprehend what had just transpired. Then, I gave Darsh the tightest hug I could manage to stop the trembling.

"I am not leaving you," I said, rubbing his bowed back kindly.
