Chapter 7
"Mind if I sit here?" I asked, hoping Paige wouldn't mind; she looked like she was busy.
"Sure," she replied and I took a seat, smiling.
"I see you and your friends are done cycling."
"Yeah, it was a lot of fun, you should've come with us."
"I have more important things to do."
"Okay, that's cool too."
I couldn't help myself from sniffing the air; her scent was intoxicating and it was even stronger because of our proximity.
"You smell really nice. I love your natural scent; it's very pleasant and welcoming. I also like your perfume, it's mild and feminine," I said.
Paige blinked several times like she was trying to make sense of what I just said. "Uh, thanks?" She managed to say.
"You know, scents are also important in finding a mate," I said before I could stop myself. I stared at her, waiting to see her response and hoping that she wouldn't find me weird.
