Chapter 11
I slowly put the sandwich back together and watched as she sauntered over to me and rested her hands on the counter, wearing a cynical expression on her face. She looked me over and tilted her head. I knew what she was thinking, and her intense gaze did nothing to make me any less uncomfortable. I tried to hold her stare but my eyes momentarily traveled down her body. She was dressed in all black and it contrasted nicely against her pale skin.
I chuckled nervously. "I just wanted to know what kind of meat was in here."
"Were you that curious?" Paige asked, raising a brow at me. I took a large bite of the sandwich in order to keep my mouth occupied. "It seems you have a good sense of smell since you can tell good and bad people apart just by their scents and can identify meat merely by smelling it."
I never expected her to remember what I said to her the other day at Frozen. Andre was right about her having a computer memory.
