Amelia staggered away from the door, realizing that everything Cadence said was true. Matteo was involved with the mafia. He had indeed impregnated a lot of women wherever he went. He wasn’t what she had considered him to be. In reality, he was a devil in disguise.

Her heart crushed with disappointment and she rushed towards the gates, not wanting to stay here a second longer. She didn’t wait for Matteo’s confirmation and walked away from the office in a daze.
