Chapter 60. Dreams of Matteo

In the next two days, Brooklyn settled down nicely in her new home.

Brandon visited her regularly, and a beautiful relationship started blooming between him and Genelia. Ryder visited Amy frequently, but it was more for Brooklyn than his fiancée.

At work too, there was a major change being planned amongst the Board of Directors. Ryder’s uncle was planning to retire and hand over the entire business to Ryder, since he had no children of his own.

That kept Ryder immensely busy, and he canceled his dates with Amy. Although Amy knew the actual reason behind it, she preferred to keep it to herself. She was actually relieved that the dates didn’t happen. Despite knowing the bitter truth, she still couldn’t help but wait for a miracle to happen.

Every night she dreamed of opening the door to a smiling Matteo on her doorstep. With the bright sunlight behind him, he looked wickedly beautiful with the face of an archangel - a fallen one. If only dreams came true!
