Chapter 63. Unable to Forget Matteo

“Thank you for helping me, Amy. I owe you.” Amelia nodded. It was the only thing he said after the night he proposed. They hardly spent a moment alone with one another in the last two weeks. Amelia had the feeling he was avoiding her on purpose. Maybe he, too, wanted to opt out of the wedding like she did.

Their vows were short, memorized, and after a quick peck at the corner of her lips, they were declared man and wife.

The wedding ceremony was over, and they finally dispersed, but Nikolas couldn’t find Brooklyn anywhere. His eyes searched for her everywhere. He looked all around the place for Brooklyn and his babies, but it seemed as if they had simply disappeared from the place!

Brandon tried to call her, but she had switched her phone off. Worried, he asked everyone around for her, but it seemed no one knew of her whereabouts.

“She was here with me a minute ago. Maybe she’s gone home to feed the twins,” said Amy when they asked her.
