Chapter 106. Luigi Is Alive and Back

Matteo knew he couldn’t risk getting involved with Di Salvo again. He went back inside the center. For the next few hours, he was trapped inside the place with Di Salvo and his men waiting for him outside.

It was almost evening, and he wanted to go back to Ryan’s house. Matteo wanted to check up on Emilia. He wanted to talk to Derek Walsh and find out whether they had caught Luigi and his men. He anxiously waited for them to leave.

Amelia sat waiting for Matteo in the living room. She had been devastated after hearing about Gia’s ordeal.

Later, when she found out from Megan that Matteo had left home, she wasn’t affected at all. She had expected him to return in an hour and beg for forgiveness. After lunch, she waited for him to return, but he didn’t.
