Chapter 62. All Alone in an Unknown City

“Nikolas,” she released a staggering breath and closed her eyes, recalling the kiss she shared with Nikolas in her dreams. She had felt his presence as if he had been really there with her, as if he had actually kissed her, but she knew it was a dream. Nikolas was angry with her. He wouldn’t come to see her. Or did he? However, a faint hope remained in her heart, considering that Nikolas enjoyed visiting her in her sleep!

Deep in thought, she stared outside the glass doors of the balcony. A pair of finches visited her, sitting on her balcony and pecking one another as if kissing each other. Brooklyn stared at them with wonder, seeing how much love they shared between them. If only she could have someone to love her like that! Could Nikolas ever love her back?

She remembered the beautiful moments she shared with Nikolas and the way she considered him to be her dream man for a long time. She blushed, imagining the way she had expressed her love for her dream man so many ti
