Chapter 70. Too Old for Her

“Why are you following me? You don’t need to see me to the door,” she gritted out, flashing her eyes angrily at him.

“Then where else will I go? Are you throwing me out of my house?” asked Nikolas with a laugh. Brooklyn rolled her eyes at him.

“Why should I throw you out? I’m the one who’s going to leave,” she said, storming out of the elevator towards his apartment. As she angrily searched for the keys in her handbag, Nikolas unlocked the door for her. “Thank you, you’re free to go now,” she said, walking inside, but instead of leaving, he followed her inside and closed the door.

“Where will I go, Brooklyn?” he asked, walking towards her. Brooklyn walked backward, away from him.

“Go to your girlfriend. She has invited you, hasn’t she?” she pointed out angrily. Nikolas’s eyes glittered with excitement as he kept approaching her.

“Nora isn’t my girlfriend,” said Nikolas, his eyes piercing into hers.
