Surprisingly the ride to the hospital felt comfortable. We talk about everything, sharing bits and pieces of our lives.
It feels good to open up to Ethan, even though I still keep some sensitive parts of my past to myself. I’m not ready to share everything just yet.
As he drives, I notice he’s steering with one hand, his other hand holding mine.
For some reason, I’ve always found it incredibly attractive when a man drives with just one hand. His grip on mine is gentle, and his face is full of easy smiles.
Things are different with Ethan. He doesn’t pressure me to open up more than I’m ready to, and that alone makes me feel safe in ways I never expected.
