Deiseree’s POV
Now sitting inside the car where I had been forced to get in earlier, my mind was filled with thoughts. I wasn’t sure whether everything had really happened—being abducted, then the offer. Everything seemed so blurry yet too clear. The thought of being able to pay off all the debts made me want to say an immediate yes, but at the same time, not being able to understand what he truly wanted me to do made me decline it. Being a stranger’s maid and staying by his side was just too crazy. What did being his shield and his bullet even mean?
“Did you take Master Yasser’s offer, miss?” I heard the kidnapper ask.
