Deiseree’s POV
Everything we talked about last night came back to my memory one by one. The way he bequeathed my brothers to me. All the words and advice he gave me last night seemed to be coming back to me. Was it his way of saying farewell? Was he really gone? Did my father really leave us for good? No, right? He said he’d stay by my side until my brothers and I achieved our dreams. He couldn’t just leave like that. No, my father wasn’t dead. There must have been some mistake.
“I believe you will never abandon your siblings, Deiseree…”
“Take care of them and guide them so they grow up to be good people like you…”
“Even though your father has many shortcomings, I love you very much.”
“I love you and your brothers very much. More than my own life.”
