Chapter 130. Careless
Channing’s words were of no comfort to Celia. Celia’s sobs soon escalated into loud, sorrowful wailing.
Compared to Rodney, whatever Channing was going to do was just a drop in the bucket. Money was secondary to her. She loved Rodney so much. After so many years of painstaking effort and work, she could not just give him up.
Faced with Celia crying, Channing handed her a handkerchief to wipe her tears with. “Don’t cry, Celia. I will definitely find you someone better than Rodney!”
At that moment, a doctor came in to examine Channing’s condition. Celia stopped wailing at once. The doctor, noticing Celia’s reddened eyes, told her, “Mr. Black will be fine. You don’t need to worry.”
The doctor mistakenly believed that Celia was crying because she was worried about Channing. Channing did not bother explaining to the doctor too. It was then that Celia’s phone rang. The caller turned out to be none other than Rodney. Celia excused herself from the room and answered
