Rodney watched Pierce leave with rage in his eyes. He muttered with frustration, “Pierce, if it wasn’t for the fact that you’ve taken care of Amber and Mel, I would have beaten you up!”
“Mr. Barron, I am so flustered to hear that!” Amber sneered. Rodney turned his head and saw Amber. His face blushed instantly and he faked an awkward, asking, “Amber, is Mel asleep?”
“If not?” Amber glared at him and warned, “Rodney, you can never change what’s between Pierce and me I. You’d better don’t expect things to turn out as you wish!”
Rodney’s face turned ashen again. Amber ignored him and went straight into the kitchen. She had to make some light meals for Mel so he could have it when he woke up.
