Chapter 30

Emmanuel walked angrily to Lily’s class. He looked around and found her doing her early morning stretches.

“Oh hey, Emmanuel,” Lily said as she spotted him walking toward her.

“Hey, Lily, I need your help,” he said.

“What? What for?” she asked, and he replied with a stern look,

“We need to go find Ethan…”

“What are you talking about, Emmanuel?” Lily asked, sounding a little shocked. Emmanuel stared at her for a few seconds, then grabbed her hand.

“Hey, what are you doing?” she asked as Emmanuel pulled her out of the classroom. He dragged her all the way out of the building and into the field where the students did their exercises, then let go of her hand.

“Owww, my arm,” Lily said as she wrapped her right fingers tightly around her left arm. “Why did you drag me out here?” she asked, and Emmanuel pulled out the poster he had taken off the wall.
