Chapter 25. Crazy Sib Meeting

Lex’s POV

I read the letter for the tenth time since I first found it and pushed it back in my locker just before the bell for the first period rang. Why was life so chaotic and love so messy?

I closed my locker shut with a firm click before I saw Joy and Dante coming out of the washroom together. Looking at the Beta, reminded me of my sister and the threat, and a long, tired sigh escaped my lips.

Bella had to be protected.

I squinted towards the nerd’s direction one last time before steeling my resolve. I had to do this. I had to protect my family first. My birthday was coming soon anyway. Hardly a week from now and I would find my mate.

I looked back at the pretty human’s profile one last time before I bit back my sigh and walked towards my class. I felt utterly crushed and it felt like I had no other way out of this mad mess. I hated doing this.
