Chapter 28. The Vanishing
As soon as the car screeched to a stop at the front steps, Beck jumped out fast, assisted Hayden out, and then they rushed inside.
“Myla! Jay!"
Hayden’s voice boomed, tinged with panic as the wheelchair shot through the front door.
Beck jogged right behind him, boots pounding against marble floors.
“In here!” Jared’s voice answered from somewhere inside the house. "We are in the third sitting room."
Hayden didn’t wait. He shoved the wheels hard, nearly tipping the chair as he tore around the corner.
The sight that greeted him was Myla sitting on the couch, ankle wrapped, hair a mess, scratches streaking her arms.
