Chapter 13. Never Leave You Alone
Georgia’s POV
When I woke up to find myself in his arms, my first thought had been, ‘Where is Pacheco?’
But then Ennio holding me like I was someone special to him made me look at him differently. I admired his stubble even as he slept; I felt like running my fingers on his powerful jaw. I stared at his shut eyelids, at how handsome he looked while sleeping, at how cute his hair looked while tousled to the side.
Had I known that that would be the last time I got to be close to him, I would have done things differently; I would have told him that our marriage could be different because deep down, I felt something toward him. Admiration? Maybe, but deep down, I liked him.
