Chapter 14. I’m Stitching a Human Body
Ennio’s POV
The fucking wound still hurts even after Romano’s doctor stitched me up. I grunt as I crawl to my side of the bed to take the antibiotics on the nightstand.
“Eno?” Georgia softly calls behind me, and I sigh, knowing that my efforts to keep her asleep are futile. She switches on the lava lamp, and I hiss at the light that attacks my eyes.
“Do you need anything?” She asks, getting up from the bed.
“I’m fine,” I hiss, lowering my back further onto the bed.
“You are not fine. You’ve been tossing and turning since we got to bed,” she mutters with a tone that almost makes me believe that she cares about me.
The last thing I want is for her to do that. To care about me because, at the end of the day, anyone who cares about me, let alone loves me, ends up dead.
“I said I’m fine, Georgia. What part of that don’t you get?”
“You know what? I’m sick and tired of this! Stand up!” Georgia shouts. I raise a brow looking at her.
