“Are you okay, Hazel?”

“Of course, Alpha. Why would you think otherwise?”

“You have this look I have never seen before on your face.”

“Describe it, Alpha.”

“It is a haughty, arrogant look.”

“Maybe I am just showing you what I can be.”

He stared at me like he couldn’t decipher what was wrong with me.

“This feeling of power is intoxicating, Hazel.”

“Tell me about it, Lia. But I guess it is a good thing.”

“How?”

“Now nobody will ride on us. Not even the Luna. I won’t crumble when met with hard, mean looks.”

“But it’s yet to be stable.”

“Maybe we can revel in it whenever it chooses to come.”

“I think it should come when we best need it. Like that time the moon hit us, we needed it then.”
