Hazel's POV

I woke up to see the Alpha staring at me. I yawned and looked around us. I didn’t know how it had happened, but he was lying next to me on the bed. Though the bed was big enough to comfortably accommodate both of us, I still felt his presence. In fact, I was very aware of his body positioned in that horizontal state. And he was staring at me.

Why was the Alpha staring at me? And wait, what time was it?

“I think it is morning.”

Lia yawned; I could feel her stretching her bones.

“Morning?”

“Yes.”

“But it can’t be morning. We were just at the edge of the bed a while ago.”

“Good morning, Hazel.”

“Confirmation from the Alpha,” Lia announced.

“Wow. Where did the time go?”

“Where it always goes. Stop staring at the Alpha like a lost sheep and reply to his greeting.”

“Good morning, Alpha.”

“How did you sleep?”
