Chapter 149

Luna Dizane’s POV

I wasn’t joking when I said I would kill that stupid girl. I was angry. I felt betrayed. I was feeling murderous. What I’ve worked years for, and she wants to take it just like that? And the Alpha seems to be infatuated by her. He was hooked. The very thought of that broke me even more. No, I won’t give up.

"Call Grether for me," I told the maid that had come to take my clothes for laundry.

"Yes, Luna."

"And tell her to report here as fast as possible, or else she’ll have herself to blame."

"Yes, Luna." The maid bowed.

"Now run along."

She ran out with a basketful of my clothes. Seconds later, Grether came running in. Out of anger, I slapped her.

"You stupid girl!"

"I’m sorry, Luna."

"You’re sorry? What exactly are you sorry for? Are you good for nothing, trash?"

"I tried my best, Luna. But the Alpha seems to like the Miss already; he wouldn’t even listen to me or believe me."
