Hailen was just about to run out when the Alpha opened the door. She stopped in her tracks to greet him, her head bowed.

"Good morning, Alpha."

"Morning, Hailen. How’s the Omega faring?"

"He’s better now."

"Where is he?"

"Still in his room, Alpha."

"Tell him I’ll come check up on him later, yeah?"

"Yes, Alpha."

"Alright."

She waved me a quick bye and left.

"What was that about?"

"What?"

"You were both squealing in excitement."

"Must you know?"

"Girls’ gossip, and the day is just starting."

"Is there a time we must gossip?"

"Not so early."

"Just say you want to know."

"I want to know."

"And I’m not telling."

"You’re sure you don’t want to tell?"

He ventured towards me, mischief clouding his eyes.

"What are you planning to do?" I asked, easing farther into the bed, away from him.

"Nothing. Just coming close to you.
