Chapter 54

Topaz's world had crashed down as she packed her bags with tears dropping down from her eyes. Michelson was with Margaret that morning as she had dropped him off to go to work. How could Adams think much about her? So all the love he had been prophesying to her was all a lie? Who was behind this? Topaz thought to herself. Adams had also told her not to take Michelson along which made her heartbroken the more. She took her luggage downstairs and came face to face with Adams he looked drunk and he had been crying as she noticed his puffy red eyes. She wanted to say something but the lump in her throat wouldn't let her. She still forced it out anyway

" Adams please don't do this, I swear I don't know anything about all this. You have to believe me, Adams. I'm innocent" she pleaded with him. She walked up to him and held his hand as she tried to make him reason with her. He looked at her and she saw a glint of hurt and regret in his eyes but he was quick enough to hide it.
