Chapter 128. Preparation

I’m putting things in another bag to take to New York. Maybe I should have lied to get out of this by telling him I would have liked his parents to come here.

But he would have hated that more than the trip. The fact that Nash’s parents were anywhere near Brown and his life here made him angry, and I could see why. We’re getting along well, and things are going well between us, so it’s time to rip off the last band-aid in our relationship.

Also, it can’t be any worse than when we told Ava about it.

I’m only going to be gone for three days, including this one, so I don’t need to pack a lot. I have a simple carry-on bag and a backpack.

I zip everything up and roll my bag out to the main room. I’m going to double check that my Gravol is in a safe place on my backpack.
