Chapter 132. The Pact
I sit quietly on the edge of the desk while Nash gets the first drawer from the wall safe. I’m not sure where he’s going with this story, but I’m glad he wants to tell it. It’s the last secret he’s keeping. I don’t need him to tell me, but I think it’s amazing that he wants to.
He sits down and clears his throat. He doesn’t touch anything on the desk in front of him. He looks upset, and I sigh and reach out my arm.
"You do not have to do this if you don’t want to." When I whisper, he gives me a weak smile and lightly touches my arm.
