Chapter 21. Ava

"Chloe!" I notice the sun shining through my window when I open one eye to check who is at my door. My clock indicates that it is almost ten, so it is not too early.

"What?" As I return the call and climb back into bed, I sigh. My homework kept me up late the night before. On Saturday morning, I was prepared for the next week of classes.

"May I enter?" I sigh and pull the covers up to my neck as Asher calls to me.

"Fine." I murmur something before dozing off again. My door opens and I sigh and cast a half-closed gaze at him. "What?" When I complain, he laughs.

So you don’t enjoy rising early? I still attempt to fall asleep, so whenever he says something, I shake my head. "Get dressed and get up." While he says this, he is standing over my bed and pressing me in the shoulder.

"Why?" When I roll over and mutter, he chuckles.
