Chapter 40. Concern
As much as I can before going to sleep, I enjoy the smell of his T-shirt and his room. We were close, and he was honest with me.
I wish he was like this all the time.
I never get this hot when I sleep, but when I wake up, I’m drenched in sweat.
I try to open my eyes and see that Nash is still holding me and that I’m still wrapped around him. I still felt tired. I didn’t sleep at all last night until I got here, and I was pretty physically tired after that rescue.
I sneak a peek up at him and see that he is wide awake and looking at the ceiling. But as soon as he feels me move, he looks back at me.
"Hi Chloe." My stomach does a backflip when he whispers. Morning Nash is my favorite. He has bedhead, the start of a beard, and kind eyes. He doesn’t look like the kind of person who would hurt you.
"Hi." I give a quiet answer.
