Chapter 51. Take You Out

"Chloe, there’s another vase on the step for you!" When I hear the sound, I groan and push myself away from my sleeping desk.

Chase has been giving me flowers all week. I don’t know if he’s trying to say sorry or what, but I can’t deal with him right now because work never stops and I have school work on top of what I already have to do.

"What are they going to do this time?" When I went back to the living room, Asher was holding a vase with red roses in it. "What exactly are those?" I asked. "Oh my goodness, why can’t he at least send some flowers?" As my anger grew, I let out a sigh.

"Not a big fan of red roses, are you?" I laugh at his jokes as I take the vase from his hands and put it on the kitchen table.

I dislike them because they are so corny. I let him know about it. "Up until now, they’ve all been red roses. If they were another kind of flower, I’d probably put them in my bedroom."
