Chapter 66. Comfortable
The walk to the coffee shop is short, and I smile as I follow him inside. These questions about our relationship were bothering me, but now I’d finally get some answers.
We take a seat and order drinks. I also order a muffin with butter. They were too good to turn down.
"So? What are you interested in talking about?" He shrugs and takes a sip of his black coffee as he asks.
"Tell me more about your family." I shrug to start off easy, and he does the same.
"I told you that my dad worked on Wall Street. Mom didn’t work, so I don’t have any brothers or sisters.
I ask, "None?" and he nods. "Sounds kind of sad."
"It wasn’t all bad, because I had a lot of friends when I was growing up." He keeps on, and I just smile. "Tell me all about yours." When he says more, I raise my eyes.
